Minor Surgery & Other Procedures

We offer a clinic for removal and treatment of minor skin lesions including warts, moles skin tags, abscess drainage etc. We advise a consultation prior to removal of the lesions to allow our doctor to review your lesion and discuss feasibility and best possible way to remove the lesions. Some samples that are removed may need to be sent for histology and there will be an additional cost for this. However this will give an idea of what the nature of the lesion was and the report will include whether the lesion was benign or suspicious and whether further care is required

IPSA Medical offers a clinic for the removal and treatment of minor skin lesions. The skin-lesion treatments we provide are for moles, skin tags, warts, abscess drainage and so on. We advise undergoing a consultation before lesion removal. This allows our doctor to review your lesion. Our doctors will discuss with you the feasibility of removal and the best method for lesion removal.

Sometimes a sample that has been removed might have to be sent for histology. This will mean that there is an additional cost. However, this will give your doctor a better idea about the nature of your lesion. The histology report includes information on the nature of your lesion (if it is benign or suspicious) and on whether any further care is needed.

Joint injections

Joint Injections

Our clinic can administer injections, including joint injections. Joint pain may be due to many different conditions, such as repetitive strain injury, osteoarthritis and different kinds of tendonitis (including tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow).

Often, these conditions can lead to reduced movement in the joint and inflammation. When the inflammation and pain in the joint have been persistent (despite using painkillers and anti-inflammatories on a regular basis), often the only management option left open is the use of joint injections. We will provide a review of both joint care and pain management. At the time of your visit, we will draw up a shared management plan.

Before having your joint injection, an examination and consultation are undertaken so that we can assess the joint that is affected. If required, the joint injection can then be administered. This will dampen both the inflammation and the pain in the affected area. The most common areas that require joint injections are the shoulders, elbows, knees, and the heels (in cases of plantar fasciitis).

Hay Fever Treatment

We also provide injections for hay fever. These injections, given at the beginning of the hay fever season, last for about 3 to 6 months. The injection alleviates hay fever symptoms (sneezing, persistent rhinitis, nasal congestion, itchy eyes, skin rashes), which are often the most troublesome.
